Apex Legends Gets a Number of Small Fixes Going into Its First Weekend

Respawn Entertainment is already hard at work making fixes to their newly launched Apex Legends.
After over 10 million players hopped into Apex Legends in its first week on the market, it’s pretty obvious the folks over at Respawn Entertainment have had one hell of a week. Going into the battle royale title’s first weekend, the team has already released an update addressing some of the in-game bugs players have been facing. You can read all of the changes below:

  • This week we pushed a couple small server side patches that addressed a number of stability issues. We also had some brief outages that were addressed.
  • Fixed the issue where Origin was showing all your friends as offline.
  • Fixed an issue for Xbox where you couldn’t purchase coins in game.
  • If you get an Origin message saying that it can’t sync your cloud saves don’t panic. Your progression is safe.
  • AMD Phenom Crashing
  • Party Leader Quit message error. This message is displaying when it shouldn’t and we’re working to address it.

The team will also be scaling up support this weekend to address any other issues players might be having. I for one have found most of the bugs to be revolving around Origin as well as some of the startup menus. Any and all problems can be sent to a help page via EA’s website.

Apex Legends had a surprise launch earlier this week and quickly took the Internet and gaming community by storm. The game has had the highest watch count on Twitch since its launch, even beating out the likes of Fortnite. It’s definitely deserving of the traffic considering it’s one of the most polished takes on the battle royale genre to date… and it’s completely free.

Respawn’s battle royale is certainly unique compared to game’s like Blackout, PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, Fortnite, and Ring of Elysium. Apex Legends uses hero characters called “Legends” who I’d say are most similar to the characters in Blizzard’s Overwatch. Additionally, the maximum number of players on the map is 60.

Apex Legends is available now on PC via Origin, PS4, and Xbox One.
